Tower 32\Jewbury, York

Tower 32

Tower 32 is situated about a hundred yards West of tower 34, and sits at the angle of a dog leg in the walls. Sometimes referred to as the New Tower, its most formidable name was "novam turrim super cornerium versus le jubiry" in 1380.

The tower is one of the many oval shaped structures on the city's walls, and would originally have had a timber building on top of it.
